During this period, part of natural lashes (and with them extensions) fall out, the lashes become unevenly thick and long, and the line of eyelash row is interrupted. There are 150 – 250 lashes grow on our upper eyelid. Every day, several lashes fall out – this is a natural process of renewal of the lashes. After a certain time, new lashes will appear in their place. By the way, the speed of eyelash renewal process (as well as, for example, the speed of hair growth) is an individual feature, so there are no worries if some lashes fell out.

Fumes from adhesive can only harm your health if low-quality materials are used or the technology of the procedure is not followed properly. At  Luxury Lashes we use only high quality and premium materials.

Sure. Lenses do not interfere with the extended eyelashes and vice versa. It is recommended to remove the lenses before the extension procedure, but some girls with sensitive eye mucosa leave them on purpose to make the eye more comfortable. In any case, during the procedure, your eyes are closed all the time, and no contact of the lens with vapors or materials occurs.

You will remove and put in lenses as well as before the procedure, the extended eyelashes will not affect this. If you do it carefully, don’t rub your eyes and don’t fill them over with moisturizing drops, then wearing lenses will not affect the duration of the extension.

Common symptoms of allergy for eyelash extensions are itching or swollen eyelids, pain or redness in your eyes.  

The beauty of the extended eyelashes is that you will not need to enhance the color or add a curl –   the lashes look gorgeous. But if there is an urgent need to makeup the extended lashes you need to use only water based mascara. It is not recommended to curl the eyelashes with eyelash curler – you will damage them and speed up the process of falling out.

If you have extended eye lashes, you should remember a few rules when washing your face. First, try not to use oil-based products – they can harm the lashes and cause them to fall out. Secondly, you need to wash your face carefully, gently washing your eyelids – do not rub your eyes. Do not forget to be careful when using the towel – gently blot your face, trying not to damage the lashes. Another important tip – don’t use q-tips, the little cotton from them, can stuck between your lashes and cause you discomfort.

We guarantee that if you follow the basic recommendations, the extension will not damage your natural eyelashes. You need to avoid injuring your eyelashes by mechanical means (rubbing, pulling, etc.). The extension procedure can only be harmful if poor quality materials are used, if the technology of the procedure is not followed or if your natural lashes are weak and you want to do eyelash extensions with very long lashes or thick lashes or mega volume. Extended lashes fall out along with the natural ones that they are attached to. Since this is a continuous process, gradually over 3-4 weeks, only about 30 percent of the original volume of the extended eyelashes remains. For a safe removal of extended eyelashes at home, you will need to purchase a special remover – that effectively and quickly dissolves the glue. Do not try to remove your extension with any kind of oil and nonprofessional creams. It is very difficult to dissolve a professional glue in this way, only single eyelashes will detach and you will definitely not like the appearance of your eyes. Also you can harm your natural lashes.

If you wear glasses, be sure to tell the lash technician to pick the right length, so the eyelash extensions wouldn’t touch your glasses while blinking.

It depends on your preferences and look you want to get. If you prefer more natural look, then chose Classic eyelash extension, natural and fluffy look – chose 2D volume set. If you want more fuller and darker lashes, do 3D or 5D eyelash extension. And if you prefer dramatic look, then Russian volume is your choice.

Like any other service in our Salon, if procedure is performed correctly and all rules are observed, professional eyelash extension is absolutely safe. Our lash technicians perform sterilization and disinfection of all reusable tools (such as tweezers). All other materials are disposable.

Your cosmetics cannot be oil-based. The greasy base of the products negatively affects the components of the adhesive that is used for eyelash extensions, so lashes can come off a lot faster. Remove your make up with oil free lash shampoo.

Main contraindications to eyelash extension

* Madarosis – a condition that leads to the loss of eyelashes, and sometimes eyebrows. If the client has this condition, the procedure cannot be performed.

* Trichotillomania – a mental disorder that manifests itself against stress or in people with an unbalanced mind. The disease is characterized by pulling out hairs on the head or other parts of the body. People with trichotillomania do not focus on their own actions and cannot resist pulling out the hairs.

* Conjunctivitis or a predisposition to it. This is an inflammation of the outer layer of the white part of the eye and the inner surface of the eyelid, makes the visual parts pink or reddish. It is also accompanied by pain, burning, itching, increased lacrimation, and edema.

* Blepharitis – a condition of the eyes characterized by inflammation, peeling, and itching of the eyelids. The pathogen is Staphylococcus aureus. The type of disease is characterized by specific signs and conditions of occurrence: scaly, ulcerative, meibomian, rosacea.

• Stye (hordeolum) – inflammation, abscess on the eyelid provoked by infection of the follicles of the eyelashes at their roots.
• If you find any signs of these diseases, postpone your visit until you are completely cured.

* Allergy or hypersensitivity of eyes, lacrimation. This type of eye disease is another serious barrier to eyelashes extensions. Due to allergic diseases, the area around the eyes is too sensitive. Seasonal or cyclical loss of eyelashes is probable. Therefore, it is impossible to do an extension – the risk of complications is too high.

* Allergy to adhesive or other materials used during the procedure. To make sure that there is no allergic reaction, attach a few lashes and observe the reaction of the body during the day.

* Treatment with chemotherapy for the last 6 months. The chemotherapy drug may cause a reaction to the materials used by the lash technicia.

* Blepharoplasty — surgery to change the shape of eyelids.  It is recommended to wait six months after surgery. Eyes may be too sensitive to the procedure and materials.

* Oily eyelid skin. Since oil destroys components that connect materials by surface adhesion, the artificial material will last a short time.

• Hormonal imbalance.
• Hyperactivity. It does not affect the quality of the performance, but it makes the procedure much more difficult. The process takes 3 or more hours. Hyperactivity will interfere with the cosmetologist. There is a risk of damage to the eyeballs.
• Asthma. The vapors of poor quality adhesive can provoke the attack of asthma.
